This Privacy Policy describes how Alpha Frontiers Inc. ("Alpha Frontiers", "we", "us") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use the Guidance Engine college counseling platform, including the websites at portal.alphafrontiers.com and guidanceengine.web.app (together, the "Service").
Alpha Frontiers Inc. is a college counseling company based in Japan. The Service is a private tool used by Alpha Frontiers counselors and their enrolled students to manage essays, activities, test scores, scholarships, and related college-application materials.
When you sign in to the Service with your Google Account, we receive:
While you use the Service, we also store content you create inside the application, including essay drafts, activity entries, test scores, brag-sheet items, and comments. We record basic usage metadata (timestamps, action types) so counselors can track student progress.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal information for advertising. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Alpha Frontiers' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum Google account scopes necessary to sign you in and personalize the Service.
The Service is built on Google Cloud and Firebase. Authentication, database, file storage, and hosting are operated by Google. Your information is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure under Google's data-processing terms. We use no other third-party data processors for personal information.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If your counselor closes your account, or if you request deletion, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for our legal obligations, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our agreements.
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your account and personal information. To make a request, email us at the address below. We respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
We use industry-standard safeguards provided by Google Cloud and Firebase, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on database records, and role-based permissions within the Service. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is intended for high school and university students (typically ages 14 and older) working with an Alpha Frontiers counselor. Accounts for students under 18 are created through the counseling relationship with parental or guardian knowledge. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
Alpha Frontiers Inc. is based in Japan. If you use the Service from outside Japan, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in Japan, the United States, or other countries where Google Cloud operates.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at this URL and update the "Effective date" at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
